About Me
- Name: Martha
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Welcome to my art history blog. The format is simple and the purpose is to show you a piece of art, give you a little background, and leave the rest up to you. I make my own line of jewelry that can be found at www.youngestdaughter.com. Now I have added a vintage cookbook blog because I like the pictures more than anything else.

Fabulous detail.
I remember seeing this and other paintings at the National Gallery. What was astounding was that the colors were as fresh and bright as if they were just painted. Thanks so much for posting this.
This was perhaps my father's favourite painting, and it's high on my list too. It's a delight to look at--I've dropped in on it every couple of years since the mid- 60s.
