Snowy Night

The Midnight Mass, 1911 by Edward Timothy Hurley, Cincinnati Art Museum.
A beautiful night time snow scene showing the rooftops and the majority of the light coming from the church as the faithful have left their homes to attend.
"Thanks to art, instead of seeing a single world, our own, we see it multiply until we have before us as many worlds as there are original artists." Marcel Proust

I just adore all the misty edges and angles. It's so evocative. Thanks!
It's the light coming from the church that really makes the picture perfect. Without the lights, the picture would be nothing.
Captures the atmosphere brilliantly; ant there is something very attractive about that atmosphere. If it was yours, where would you hang it?
I'd hang it in a burnished silver frame against a midnight blue wall.
