Generations

The Fighting Gillises, 1944 by Norman Rockwell.
Six generations of soldiers in the same family. This was a Saturday Evening Post cover.
Happy Veteran's Day!

No veterens left behind!
I used to have a wall like that. My father was in the AirForce; my mother's father in the Navy; my husband in the USMC; his father the AirForce; all of my brothers in the Army, USMC, and AF; and then myself in the Army.
It was a great wall. The last time I moved was when my husband passed away, and I just haven't bothered to unpack the box with all our family photos.
