Stacked

We are so used to seeing large expanses of wall surrounding works of art, but that is really only a 20th century method of hanging paintings, for years it was done like the gallery in this painting - floor to ceiling, stacked on top of each other.

I think we should go back to that method! Then my appartment wouldn't look so cluttered! I have about that many of my own paintings, and I don't have room for them so I cover the walls in them. Some are litterally stacked on top of others! Maybe I am reviving a decorating trend???
...and they all hold together like sequential art. Cool!
