A Fantasy

The Bower Meadow, 1850-1872 by Dante Gabrial Rossetti, Manchester City Art Galleries, UK.
Begun in 1850 the background is Knole Park, Kent which he painted out of doors with William Holman Hunt. The Pre-Raphaelites advocated painting out of doors in natural settings, but this is the only time Rossetti ventured down that road. He completed the figures in 1872.

Personally, I enjoy looking at Rossetti's art. It is interesting, but his poetry? Wheee, there is art for you. Take a look at his House of Life. He uses words to describe emotions, and hits it on the mark. Then try reading his sister's Goblin Market. You've a treat in store for yourself.
