Habitat Group for a Shooting Gallery by Joseph Cornell, Des Moines Art Center
Cornell assembled fascinating groups of found objects. He liked to juxtapose different objects and his love of surrealism comes through in these groupings.
"Thanks to art, instead of seeing a single world, our own, we see it multiply until we have before us as many worlds as there are original artists." Marcel Proust

I just found your site over the weekend and I love it! Cornell is one of my favorites. Check out my site for my musing on art and teaching art. I frequently post children's art and do my own little art history posts, too.
