I Heart U

Meadow Heart #1, 1971 by Jim Dine, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO.
Dine creates "multiples" of everyday objects. He also takes advantage of every medium available.
"Thanks to art, instead of seeing a single world, our own, we see it multiply until we have before us as many worlds as there are original artists." Marcel Proust

i always thought that Jim Dine was a fake pop artist. His work has a streingth and a would say 'happiness' that only Wesselmann had painting his nudes(those nude cry for being matched to matisse's ones!)
ehem... obviously I meant to write 'Dine IS a fake pop artist...'
