The Swing by Jean-Honore Fragonard, Wallace Collection, London.
Fragonard is considered the greatest artist of a short period known as Rococo. This 18th century style followed the Baroque period where it utilized all the ornament and fashion of the Baroque, but left out the drama.

Oh, one of my favorites! I haven't seen it for a while. Thanks for posting this.
Notice the young man in the lower left corner watching the girl kicking up her legs, perhaps revealing more than she should! Fragonard is fun!
He's among the best of the best.
This is one of my all time favorite paintings. This is my first time on your blog, and im so excited I found this blog!
