Ack

For those of you who don't know, there's a bit of a scandal up in my old homeland as the Canadian government paid millions for a somewhat hypothetical ad campaign. They just made a conviction relating to the case. The punishment for defrauding the public of money? Lectures.
Advertising executive Paul Coffin was sentenced Monday to a conditional sentence of two years less a day, to be served in the community, for defrauding Canadian taxpayers of $1.5 million. Coffin pleaded guilty earlier this year to 15 fraud charges.

Coffin must obey a 9 p.m. curfew - but only on weeknights - and give lessons on business ethics.
I can see the importance of someone who has learned something giving a lecture, but what is this guy going to say? "I learned I have to give this speech due to my evil deeds"? The people are getting the lecture from someone who not only has been proved to be unethical, but you devil's advocates out there, not even a good crook. On the other hand, imagine how many would sign up for a lecture by D.B. Cooper.
